Following the successful relaunch of Opheem’s bar lounge area, we were thrilled to be tasked with another set of updates to refresh the restaurant. This time, our focus was on enhancing the private dining room and other key spaces to bring a new level of luxury and comfort to this Michelin-starred destination. Here’s how we brought a luxurious and inviting atmosphere to life in these redesigned areas.

The Private Dining Room: A Haven of Intimacy and Elegance

Our design for the private dining room centres on creating a rich, inviting, and luxurious space that elevates the dining experience. The concept was built around:

• A Warming Atmosphere: We used a mostly neutral-toned palette to establish a calm and sophisticated base, while carefully selected accents—including artwork, bric-a-brac, and lush planting—introduce pops of colour and personality to the room.

• Softened Edges and Flow: Furnishings were chosen not just for their aesthetics but also for their ability to soften and screen the room. This creates a more intimate and private setting, making guests feel truly at ease.

• Statement Features: At the heart of the room is a stunning feature dining table, surrounded by loungey and comfortable dining chairs designed to encourage guests to linger and savour their meals. Overhead, a sculptural chandelier acts as a dramatic focal point, adding a layer of artistry and intrigue to the space.

• Layered Details: Every element of the design—from the textures of the finishes to the carefully curated decor—was chosen to build an atmosphere that feels rich and harmonious. The result is a space that balances opulence with approachability, making it perfect for private celebrations and intimate gatherings.

Elevated Comfort: A Redesign of the Toilets and Surrounding Areas

We also extended our redesign to the restaurant’s toilets and adjacent spaces, creating a higher-end feel that aligns with Opheem’s Michelin-starred reputation. Here’s what we focused on:

• Luxurious Touches: The new fixtures and fittings are sleek and sophisticated, creating a premium feel. Every detail—from textured wall finishes in warming tones to soft seating areas—was designed to elevate the experience.

• A Lounge-Like Ambience: We introduced furniture elements and seating along the corridor to transform this functional area into a space of comfort and indulgence. Guests can now enjoy a more homely and welcoming environment, perfect for taking a moment to relax.

• Textured Elegance: Textured wall finishes, paired with a warming colour palette and layered lighting, create an ambience that is both soothing and luxurious. This balance of function and design ensures the space feels as indulgent as the rest of the restaurant.

Breathing New Life Into Opheem

Our collaboration with Aktar Islam was driven by a shared vision of creating spaces that evoke emotion, comfort, and connection. The newly redesigned areas reflect a seamless blend of warmth and sophistication, making every visit to Opheem not just a meal, but an experience to remember.
