Gandies is Open: A Coffee House Built From a Shell ☕🌿
We're thrilled to finally share Gandies, our latest completed project in Kempsey, Worcestershire.
Gandies started life as an empty shell within an eco business park, and it's now a warm, community-led coffee house that feels like it's always been there. This was the team's first venture into hospitality, and we loved being part of that journey with them from the very start, working closely together to bring their vision to life with value engineering front of mind throughout.
The result is a relaxed, everyday space built for connection and ritual. Exposed rafters and generous glazing bring in natural light and views out to the surrounding countryside, while rattan pendants, timber tables and handmade tiles add warmth and texture underfoot and overhead. A bold botanical mural runs through the space, giving it real personality against the more pared-back, natural materials elsewhere. Striped banquette seating and solid oak stools keep things relaxed and welcoming, exactly the kind of place you want to linger in with a coffee and a pastry from the counter.
Gandies proves that a coffee house doesn't need to be in a city centre to have real character, sometimes the best spaces are the ones built quietly, thoughtfully, and with community at the heart of every decision.
