Working closely with the India Bistro team, FiFi Interiors delivered a warm, tactile and contemporary interior that reimagines modern Indian dining through a crafted and comforting lens.

A Design Rooted in Craft, Comfort and Connection

India Bistro’s concept, shaped by the Labour of Love philosophy, celebrates natural materials, expressive craftsmanship and a sense of togetherness. The design for the Chapel Allerton site focuses on earthy tones, organic textures and handcrafted details, creating a restaurant and bar environment that feels both stylish and inviting. From saffron and terracotta to soft moss greens and warm timber finishes, every material has been chosen to evoke comfort, connection and authenticity.

Warm Textures and a Contemporary Bar Experience

The restaurant features a sculptural bar with textured wall finishes and layered lighting, introducing a warm and welcoming focal point. Intimate booth seating framed by rattan screens creates natural zones for conversation, while soft curves, crafted joinery and a mix of tactile materials add depth and atmosphere throughout the space.

Modern Indian Dining with a Contemporary Interior Narrative

The dining area blends detailed servery design with bespoke furniture, atmospheric lighting and artwork inspired by traditional Indian craft forms. Curated bric a brac, textural finishes and sculptural planting add further expression, resulting in an interior that feels grounded, soulful and modern — a fresh take on Indian restaurant design in Leeds.
