FiFi have worked closely with Chef Tom Shepherd since the very beginning, from his debut restaurant in the heart of Lichfield through to this, its third development. Upstairs earned 1 Michelin Star within just 4 months of opening, Staffordshire's first and only, and has continued to grow and evolve ever since, a true testament to Chef Tom, his vision and his talented team.

Our brief has always been to develop a welcoming and beautiful restaurant which is the perfect blend of refined and relaxing. It was key to entice customers in from street level and lead them upstairs to the first floor restaurant. As the restaurant has grown, so has the design, with each phase building on the last to keep the space feeling fresh while staying true to what made it special in the first place. Restaurant Upstairs by Tom Shepherd remains an inviting and relaxed space which celebrates flavour-led, fine dining cuisine.

This is now the third phase of development FiFi has delivered for Upstairs, a relationship that continues to grow alongside the restaurant itself. What started as a debut concept has organically evolved over the years, refined and reimagined as Tom's vision and the business have grown together.
